All hose fittings must be colour banded to match internal colour. Safety is your responsibility, ensure only Piranha recommended fittings are used and correctly swaged when replacing hose ends or repairing hose.

Leader Hose

A blue thermoplastic hose assembly that serves two purposes, first to reduce damage to the sewer hose end from broken glass and abrasives and secondly to alert the operator to switch the water pump off upon sighting to avoid hose snaking if withdrawn while pump is running.

Sewer Hose

Piranha is the world renowned manufacturer of quality drain and sewer cleaning hose with proven reliability under the most rugged conditions. Constructed from the highest quality materials the hoses are fully bonded, they have an inner yellow poly-olefin tube reinforced with high tensile polyester fibre and an outer cover of polyether-urethane offering excellent wear resistance and long service life.

Tiger Tail

A specially designed slipper type hose employed to protect the sewer hose at the point of pipe entry from sharp and jagged edges to prolong sewer hose life. A 5m length of anchor rope is included.

End fittings and menders for thermoplastic hose are not interchangeable. it is essential that hose, fittings, menders and tooling be properly matched. Identification of Piranha hose products is simple. The inner tube of all Piranha Sewer Cleaning hose is Yellow, as assigned by WASTEC (Waste Technology Association) for manufactures identification Code. To assure proper matching of all components, the hose tube material, end fittings, menders and tooling must be colour coded yellow. While there may be several sources of end fittings and assembly tooling be carefully checked for suitability. Prianha supplied swaging machine is required for the installation of end fittings and menders. All assembly tooling is designed and produced to be compatible with the Piranha Hose Products supplied swaging machine.

If you see it… Stop it!

Failure to properly repair or replace hose after exposing white braid reinforcement layer can cause Death, personal injury and property damage.

Never exceed the maximum working pressure
Never exceed the maximum working temperature
Never apply pressure to a damaged hose
High pressure hoses are designed to use specific fittings and tooling. Never use a different brand of of fittings or tooling, failure to do so may cause death, personal injury and property damage.
A kinked, crushed or blistered hose will eventually fail – do not risk injury. Immediately repair or remove hose from service.

IMPORTANT

Like strands in a bridge cable, each reinforcement fiber plays an exact role in the ultimate burst strength of the hose. A minor slice or nick in the reinforcement can result in total hose failure.

The age of hoses does not matter! It is unfortunate, but even hose used once can be damaged in severe applications. These hoses must be immediately removed from service.
